Jack Hastings '18 Recruiting Profile

I would love to find a playing spot on a college golf team. An opportunity to play at an academically strong school would be fantastic. I have played several sports competitively, I eventually found my passion for golf and have been thoroughly enjoying it. Along with my academics, my time is fully focused on golf and I am always working to improve my game.

     I am a Senior on a very deep competitive team. Last fall, my high school team won our conference; placed first at regionals; and 4th at state for 5A schools in Colorado. Individually, I earned first team all-conference, and placed 7th individually at regionals. I was also first team academic all-conference. This year I won my first tournament, an RMJGT shooting 68-72 (-4).  This summer, I qualified for the Colorado Junior Match Play Championship shooting 73, and won my first match. I also finished 2^nd out of 123 players in a conference match shooting one under, 71. 

     Currently in my third year of competitive golf, I know I will keep improving. I am eager for constructive help and committed to continued growth. I have earned the team's most improved player award, based on stroke average, for the last two years.

     Regarding academics, learning and good grades are important to me. I'm focused and I care about my performance in school. I have a 3.8 GPA. I am also a leader in the business program, DECA and qualified for the National meet, last year. In my free time, I am an avid skier and have fun teaching junior golf at my home course.

     I am a very hard-working friendly guy with a ton of integrity and an all-around passion for golf. I would love to have an opportunity to play college golf.
