Personal Statement
My name is Garrett Exelbert I go to Glenwood Springs High School, in Glenwood Springs Colorado. I’m currently a Sophomore in high school. I have loved the game of golf even since I laid hands on the club. I have five siblings so I learned a lot along through out my childhood. I‘ve learned to be a leader on and off the golf course. I’ve also learned to become very competitive with never wanting to lose a round of golf to my older brothers. All these lessens have lead me to be a very dedicated and hard working athlete, that is never satisfied, I always want to make sure I’m the best I can be. In my freshman year of High School I placed top ten in the state tournament, and was named First Team All State. I than continued to win a few JGAC (Junior Golf Allianice Of Colorado) events. My sophomore year I won quite a few of events through out my season posting a low score of 68. In the state tournment I placed top 30. I’ve learned a lot from that tournment, and have never been more excited to bounce back and continue to improve. This past JGAC season I was named into The All Star Team.
Another one of my passions is Basketball, I started playing ever since I was in first grade. I play Point guard and like creating the plays and being a play maker.
In school I continue to excell maintaining a 3.8 GPA out my high school career.
