My name is Noah Cox. I am currently in 9th grade at Hernando High School, Brooksville, FL. I started playing golf a few years ago, with my father, James (Andy). That was our Sunday time together, to play golf and fish. I started getting pretty good, so my dad signed me up for golf lessons. I have had lessons with 2 different coaches, and I am improving my game.
My first time competing in golf was last year, my 8th grade year. I took second place all around for all of Hernando County middle schools. I was just 2 strokes away from the overall winner. This year, I joined my high school golf team. So far, it is going very well. I am hitting from the blue and white tees, depending on the course, and I am already beating my middle school scores.
I have confidence that my scores are going to continue to improve, and I am going to continue to work on all areas of my game and academics. Of course I have a dream of turning pro, what kid doesn't? As my back up plan, I have a pretty good idea that I would like to study wildlife management, so that I can have a career in Fish and Game. My goal is to secure a golf scholarship to a college that offers a Wildlife Management Degree or something similar, while pursuing my dream of being a pro-golfer.
