My name is Dominic Wirtz. I will be graduating from Gulf Coast High School in Naples, Florida in the class of 2024. I play golf both in school at the varsity level and on other tours such as the Florida Junior Tour and the South Florida PGA Junior tour and AJGA as well. My collegiate goals and aspirations are to succeed academically in whichever field of study I choose within the next year or two, and I aspire to play golf at the highest level possible. An important quality that has always been a driving factor in my performance both athletically and academically is leadership. To me it is not just about being the one leader on the team; it's more about pushing myself and others to achieve the best possible outcome. I have challenged myself throughout the school year by taking difficult advanced placement (AP) courses which are both time consuming and heavily reliant on study and leadership skills. In addition to enriching my academic abilities, this has taught me that time management is an extremely crucial aspect of my future moving forward. I am always willing to put in the time and effort to better myself and achieve the goals I set in front of myself.
