I am Luke Wise, 17 years old and from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. My golf journey began about 3 years ago, just before my 8th-grade year started, and I quickly fell in love with the game. Before golf, I was an avid hockey and baseball player in which I started playing both from a very young age. I loved the team aspect of both hockey and baseball, but something changed after my 7th-grade year and I decided to pick up golf. I began to play golf every day with my friends, and eventually started to take lessons and continued to love the game so much, that my family moved to Florida for me to play golf year-round. I began to work extremely hard and my number one goal as an 8th grader was to make the varsity team at my high school as a freshman, which I did. Currently, my handicap is 0.7. I am an extremely hard worker and I pride myself on my dedication to becoming the best golfer I can be. I am lucky to have the support of my family, friends, and swing coach, Warren along my way through my golf career.
In addition to golf, I caddie at The Bears Club, in Jupiter, FL, and I have also volunteered at The Honda Classic. In addition to volunteering, for the last 3 years, I have participated in Cody's Angels Golf Tournament (a charity golf tournament to raise money for pediatric cancer).
I believe I would be a valuable asset to any school.
I appreciate your consideration of my application to your program.
