Personal Statement
Making it to the Florida State Amateur Championship as a 14-year-old has been one of the highlights of my golf career. I have been playing competitive golf since the age of 7 and have many great moments to reflect on. I am very passionate about the game of golf. My grandfather introduced me to the game when I was 3 years old. You may have seen the video that I have posted to my profile :-)
I have been fortunate enough to be part of many different coaching programs throughout the last 8 years. All of whom have made me the golfer I am today. Through my experiences, I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership. I think of myself as a team leader and more importantly, a team player. I look forward all year to the high school golf season. Not because it is a high level of competition, it's because I love being part of a team.
I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. To date, I have been a straight A student and I strive to make sure it stays that way. I have recently switched over to Florida Virtual School and I love that it gives me the freedom and flexibility to get my work done in a timely manner. I believe I not only have the talent to compete competitively on a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As the captain of my high school team, I am learning what it takes to be a leader!
