Personal Statement
After high school, I am looking to continue my academics and athletics at a higher level. Education is very important to me, and athletics are a close second. Athletics and academics came together in the 2018 school year for me when I was selected by school faculty and by my golf coach to represent the boys golf team on the Athletic leadership council. I was able to showcase and strengthen my leadership skills through this training, and I look forward to using these skills as an upperclassmen on the golf team.
The countless hours I work on the course translate to the hours I put in off of the course with volunteering. During the school year, I typically volunteer 3 time per week mentoring younger students, or for organizations like HUGS across the county, Best Buddies, Link crew, athletic leadership council, student government, Beaches Go Green, and many more.
With all of the extra work I do for my community, I was still able to contribute and win back-to-back state championships with my high school team my freshman and sophomore years, and the skill levels of my teammates only drives me to improve in the game I love.
