Personal Statement
Qualifying for the Vaughn Taylor championship, winning the hjgt at the Georgia club with rounds of 75-72, getting 3rd in the Sjgt junior peach blossom with rounds of 72-72 at idle hour all of these events were great character building experiences for me
I became serious about golf in 4th grade after I decided I truly enjoyed the challenge the game presented both technically and mentally
Golf has taught me the trust in myself, my team, my family, my coach, and how work and dedication ultimately determine my success
My academic goals for high school are to find a healthy balance of rigor that will allow me to learn all I need to succeed in my desired major in college while balancing extracurricular activities
One obstacle I had to overcome was a much needed swing change freshman year my technique limited my abilities under pressure and after a lot of work I have ingrained the proper habits that will allow my swing to no longer limit my play
A unique characteristic I possess is that I am very detail oriented I strive to make every aspect of myself and my game better daily while accepting not everything will be perfect but I understand the game and life do not require perfection but hard work, experience, knowledge, and grit.
