Personal Statement

Personal Statement

Everyone has some type of passion, that makes them super happy and they would love to do that as a career and I am lucky enough to have a passion that I can make a career out of it. My passion is golf. Golf is something that I can turn into a career, there is so many careers in the golf industry. There is nothing that will make me happier in life then having a career in golf. I still remember my first set of clubs and how awesome it was.

My dad is one of the biggest influences on me being a golfer. I want to end up like my dad in the sense that he made it in his life as a golfer. My dad ended up being a professional golfer and he has been in the golf industry for twenty years. He knows what it takes to make it as a golfer in the world and he helps me on trying to further my golf career. My dad helps me with my game every single day and I am getting better because of him. I just want to make him proud and I can do that by working hard and being successful in what I do.

Golf to me is so much more than a sport to me, it teaches you life lessons and how you can be a better person. Golf teaches me how to be patient in life and don’t go rushing into things. You can’t be rushing into life, you have to live in the moment. You have to enjoy life to its fullest. Golf teaches me how to be a better person in general. Golf takes you out of your comfort zone and if you embrace it then who knows how far you can go. Golf teaches you how to plan ahead and be successful. You can’t go into something blind you will just fail. You will make a lot of mistakes in golf just like life. You have to know how to take those mistakes and turn it into something greater. Golf teaches you that exactly.

Making it to the PGA will be the best thing in the world. Everyday I work hard to get my game tighter and tighter. I think the key to make it at that level is just keep playing and learn from it. Golf teaches you how to be patient and plan ahead for success. As long as I stay patient and just keep working at it and who knows what will happen. I got to keep my head straight and focus on my goal and I will achieve it. I am going to get all kinds of distractions but I got to keep my eye on the prize.

In conclusion, golf has had a big impact on my life. It made me a better person overall and it taught me many things that I can use in the future. My future in golf hopefully is going to be at the highest level I can make it and end up golfing for the rest of my life.
