Eric Gilpin '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Eric Gilpin. I'm from Bloomington, IL and go to Bloomington Central Catholic High School. I am 5'11 and 240 pounds. I would say that my best attribute is being calm and collected, especially out on the golf course. I would compare myself to Jason Dufner because I hardly show any emotion, I believe you should never get too high or too down on yourself in order to play good golf. I can offer good leadership, because I lead with my actions, more than my words. I am very serious about golf and played as the number three golfer on the varsity golf team as a freshman and number one as a sophomore and now junior. It is my absolute goal to play college golf. I arrive at the course in the dark, and leave at dark. I am always looking to improve every part of my game, to become better and better. My ball striking has been a pretty strong point in my game, but I have made some pretty dramatic improvements in my short game and putting, only because of the hard work I have put in on those weaknesses. I'm open to all types of schools, I don't personally have a geographical preference either. My goal is to play at the highest competition level possible and go to a school with good academics as well.
