Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Caleb Dzierzynski and I am 17 years old. I am a senior at Putnam County High School. I have been playing golf for about four years now. My game has grown immensely since I started playing and I work hard to make sure I keep improving. This year I currently average a 37 per nine holes. My goal is to be a scratch golfer by the end of my high school career. I believe that I can compete at a high level and that my game has been overlooked in the past. I am a very competitive person and I will do anything it takes to win.
For me, school comes before sports. I work very hard in the class room to keep my GPA at a 4.0. I am in advanced english and math classes and I am taking a college course in the mornings before school. I am part of the National Honors Society and InterAct. I have not completely decided on what I want to major in, but I am thinking about going into sports medicine. I know that education is very important to success in life, therefore, school comes before anything else.
My collegiate goals and aspirations are to graduate from a good university while playing golf in college. I think that I am a good candidate for many teams because of my work ethic in the classroom and on the golf course. I am always going to work as hard as I can to try to exceed expectations. I am different than other recruits due to my positive attitude and my drive to improve on the course and in school. Golf is my passion and I hope to achieve my goal of playing golf at the college level.
