Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Drew Blackaby some of my goals an aspirations at the collegiate level are to become the best player I can be. I would love to be able to have an opportunity to play for the National Championship, and to be able to win it, that would be the ultimate goal. I feel i would be a good candidate for your team because I bring a lot of talent to the table. I can hit the ball far off the tee, and every club in my bag is very versatile. I can shape a shot weather it be a draw or a cut, and I can either keep the ball high or hit it low.
I feel that I am different from other recruits in character because of how humble I am. I never take anything for granted weather it be an opportunity to play college golf, or if it was a chance to make an impact in society today, I never take anything for grated regardless of the situation I am in. I am different athletically because of how teachable I am. I am always willing to give anything new a try, and I feel like thats something that a lot of coaches want in their players, but the players aren't willing to try the new stuff out. I am not that kind of player, I love to try new things, and with some guidance and a good coaching staff, I know that we can get anything done. I am different academically because I put in the needed hours to study. A lot of high schoolers and college athletes think that they can slack off. I am a firm believer that if you slack off, you lose key opportunities. If I am not practicing my golf, then I am at home studying for some upcoming quiz or test.
