Personal Statement
My experience with the sport I love started at age four. Throughout my life I have excelled at many things that I have done, having above average grades and playing multiple sports. I played football up until 5th grade, Baseball up until 6th grade, Basketball up until my freshman year in High school, and really started to focus on my golf game, physically and mentally since then.
Competition wise, I have been apart of the Indy Jr. Golf Foundation since the age of four, playing 3 holes, then progressing to 6, 9, then 18 hole tournaments. I played on the Jr. High golf team at my school, grade 6-8, and I participated in practices with the high school golf team my 8th grade year. I have played my Freshman and Sophomore year, reaching Regional's as a team my freshman year. Also I have been All Conference in both years of play, as well as being nominated for the Indianapolis Star Athlete of the Month for June 2016. I plan on playing golf for the rest of my high school career and hope to continue my endeavors in college.
As for education, I have nothing set for what I want to do besides golf, but as a junior in high school, I have some interests in pursuing a possible education in either statistics or engineering. I am taking AP Statistics this year and I have been enrolled in Project Lead the Way all of my high school career. My GPA after my sophomore year was a 3.9 and I passed the AP US History exam. I am currently working as hard as I can to maintain my GPA and take as many AP classes as I can handle.
The future I am hoping to make reality is playing collegiate golf and being successful in anything I do. The first step is securing my opportunity to play in college, and then to be successful in making the school I represent proud.
