Personal Statement
I first started playing golf at age twelve. I first started playing in competitive tournaments at age thirteen. By age fifteen I started to take golf much more serious and averting most of my focus on my golf game. I am a very competitive person, whether it be golf or school. Whatever I am doing, I give all my effort on that task. While playing golf, I have learned that golf is most about your mental game. My mental game is something I am always trying to work on. My mental game is much better than when I started playing golf, but there is always room for improvement.
My goal for high school is to finish with a GPA of 4.0 or higher and top 10 percent in my class. My goal for college is to get my masters degree in business. Through the years of my golfing career, I have not had any major obstacles to overcome. I have had to go through minor changes like swing changes and a grip change, but these things only take 2-3 weeks to adapt to until they feel normal. A thing that makes me stand out from others is that I have a high internal motivation to get better.
