To whom it may concern,
My name is Jesse Douglas Trembath and I am a 16 year old high school student from Melbourne, Australia. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to golf by my Grandma when I was 2 years old and have been obsessed with it ever since.
I recently made my first Australian Junior State Team (March 2023) and am fortunate enough to be 1 of 4 juniors in the Callaway Next Generation Program.
Over the past 12-18 months, I have begun researching and considering attending college in the United States to expose myself to greater opportunities and competition in golf as well as academic pursuits. I have aspirations to compete at the highest collegiate level and wish to test myself against the world's best amateur golfers. I want to be able to play high level golf both at the amateur and professional level as my game continues to develop.
Enjoying team match play pennant golf in Australia, I love the aspect of individual and team formats that collegiate golf offers and believe I bring both passion and enthusiasm to any team I am part of. I think I would be a great candidate to any team as I am someone who can adapt quickly to new environments and people and am a self starter with everything I do.
Anybody that knows me credits me as an extremely hard-working and dedicated person who gives 100% to whatever I do. I wouldn’t consider moving to the other side of the world away from family, friends and basically everything I've ever known if I wasn't 100% committed and prepared to go through the challenges ahead to achieve my ultimate dreams of being a touring professional.
From early mornings before school to late nights practicing alone under lights at my local driving range, my work ethic is probably the thing I pride myself most on. I am a firm believer that success is achieved by someone willing to work harder than anybody else and I am not phased by small setbacks as I continue to develop my game.
I believe this, as well as my obsession to continually improve and learn is what makes me different from other recruits.
I am a very detailed and analytical individual who looks for any possible advantages that may give me an edge over my competition. From a very young age I have been heavily involved in various team and individual sports before giving them up to pursue my love for golf.
I also take great pride and responsibility in my academics and expect to attend a college that has high academic standards and offers me the best academic opportunities possible whilst pursuing my golfing dreams.
I am very grateful and appreciative of you taking the time to read my letter and want to thank you for considering me to be a part of your team and hope to speak with you soon.
Kind Regards,
Jesse Trembath
