Personal Statement
Coming from a family of golfers, I have become very competitive with my game. Beginning to learn to play golf around the age of eight, I discovered a passion that has been a permanent addition to my love of sports. Since middle school, I have continually challenged myself with the toughest classes, as many AP and DE courses as I could take, and immersed myself with involvement in church and community leadership and service activities. I plan on entering a college that will continue to challenge me to be the best version of myself academically, and to take advantage of a strong foundation based on many established credits from AP and DE courses.
Despite losing my home in The Great Flood of 2016 in south Louisiana, I continually pursued excellence, both academically and in my game. As a sophomore, I consistently led my team as a starter and low scoring leader. Although my consistency at practice was affected while we rebuilt, I am excited and more than ready to get back in to the swing of things (no pun intended). I believe that my outgoing leadership and positive nature, along with my resilience to negativity would be an asset to any team and will bring a strong level of positive consistency to my fellow teammates.
