I have been fortunate enough to be a member of a club right near my house where we have a great group of juniors who all play and practice together and we all push each other to get better every day, even when the weather might scare us away at first, especially in the winter months. My grandfather, who played golf in college, really got me interested in golf. Whenever I would go over to his house the golf channel would be on, and he would explain to me the intricacies of the game. I then decided to take golf up competitively after 7th grade. Throughout my time playing and practicing golf over the past few years, I have learned that it is tough to keep grinding, especially when no results show. I broke my arm last summer in June, which forced me to withdraw from a lot of tournaments, and it really set me back, both mentally and physically. So I never really got to see the results of the hard work I put into working on my craft last summer. It almost feels like an endless loop sometimes, but I have some tournaments coming up in April which I could not be more excited to be able to finally compete in again.
