Hi, I'm Max Edminster, and I'm a golfer. I started playing when I was about five years old when I was living in the Philippines. For the majority of my life, I've lived overseas, mainly in Africa and Asia. Fortunately, during this time I had the opportunity to learn golf and become very good at it. I moved back to the US for my sophomore year of high school, but before that, I would spend the summers in the country playing golf tournaments. I've always enjoyed playing in them because I consider myself very competitive and I felt that it allowed to me to play my best. I think this happens when I play competitively because I'm able to tune everything out and just be able to focus on playing golf. Overall, I think I've done pretty well for myself because I've won several tournaments, but I know I have a lot untapped potential to get even better as long as I continue to practice.
Furthermore, in school, I've always done very well as I've had straight A's during each high school year. I think since I work so hard at school that mindset transitions to golf very easily and allows me to get better. As far as goals in college, I would like to make to golf a part of it, but I also want to attend a school that's strong academically. I'd also like to play against good competition because I believe my game is elevated when I am playing with very good players. Moreover, I believe I have a lot to contribute to your team because like I've already said, I work hard and I've demonstrated that I have the ability to compete at a very high level.
