My collegiate goal is to play golf at the highest level possible while working towards a degree in my desired field of study. I'm looking for a school that is medium to large and has a strong academic presence, community pride, and an extensive array of varsity level sports which provide a high level of school spirit.
What I believe makes me a good candidate for any school willing to offer me an opportunity to play at their institution is my strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride I take in perfecting my skills both in school and on the golf course. I am a firm believe that hard work over time will translate into success both in the classroom and in life and I would be humbled with the opportunity to play at the next level.
Currently, I am a 3-year starter and captain of the Varsity Golf Team at Brookline High. My accomplishments for the 2019-2020 season include a coach’s choice team MVP, Bay State Conference All-Star with a final round score of 70, Mass State Sectional participant, Mass State Championship tournament participant, and a Mass Junior Amateur participant with a round of 77 in the qualifier. I also have experience playing competitive golf in Massachusetts through programs such as NEPGA, U.S. Challenge Cup, and regionally through AJGA.
In addition to my high school and tournament experience, I am a 3-year academy player coached by Owner/Founder Bill McInerney at the KOHR Golf Academy in Natick, MA. Through his mentoring and instruction, I have learned several important aspects of the game such as the physical and mental training as it relates to swing mechanics, practicing with a purpose, grit & humility as well as determination and perseverance. Under Coach Bill’s guidance, I continue to gain the necessary skills to be more disciplined and calculated in my practice routine with an understanding that trusting the process will ultimately determine my overall success on and off the golf course.
