Cameron Kratovil '19 Recruiting Profile

10/24/18: Since the summer months, Cameron has shown tremendous growth in the high school golf scene. As the captain and #1 for the defending Western Massachusetts golf champion Monson High, he averaged a 37.4 in 17 matches. 13 rounds were under 40 with a high round of 41, and four rounds were under par, with his low being a four-under 32 at Quaboag Country Club in October. His next lowest was a three-under-par 33 at Greenfield Country Club, also in October. Under the watchful eye of head coach and ex PGA Professional Paul Nothe, he had an incredibly successful season as he won the PVIAC Invitational Four-Ball, was voted in as the MassLive HS Sports Athlete of the Week, and was a preseason MassLive Golf "Super 7" selection where they preview the best players in the region. He is a two-time member of the All Western-Mass 1st team (2016&17) and a one-time member of the 2nd team (2015). Learning from his tournament experience from the summer between tournaments in the CTPGA Junior Tour (Champions Tour), and the CCJGA) with tournament rounds of 75, 76, 79, 78, 79, and 64 (+4, executive golf course), he learned the importance of control off of the tee and making smarter decisions, which lead to his high school season success. His season is not over, as he will be competing in Division III MIAA Golf state championship on Monday, October 29th against some of the best talents in the state. Cameron is not only a strong, multi-sport athlete standing at 6'5 and 190lbs, he is also a strong student. With his GPA of 4.02 and National Honor Society status, there are no problems in the classroom for him as he values his education while in pursuit of a business management degree. Cameron has an intense love and respect for the game and is always striving to learn more and improve. He is a coach's dream as he is easily coached, a team-minded leader, and believes in positive and winning attitudes.
