Joseph Kowatch '19 Recruiting Profile

I currently attend Gaylord High School located in Northern Michigan. I play for the Varsity High School Golf Team in the spring and have been playing golf since the age of 6. In the summer, I play competitive golf on the Callaway and Top 50 Junior golf tours. In the winter, I use a golf cage/net in my basement to preserve my swing and a golf simulator at Treetops. My swing coach, Joe Charles at Treetops Resort, has and continues to help me improve my game, which I am dedicated to develop year round. I work bag drop at Treetops Resort in the summers and also work part time at a local sporting goods retailer. I also caddy occasionally at the golf course in my subdivision. My main goal at this time is to play collegiate golf while earning a degree at a smaller college/university. Currently I am undecided on a major but am interested in either business/accounting or possibly engineering. I am targeting Michigan schools but also open to opportunities at schools in the Midwest, South Carolina, and Florida.
