Benjamin Lewis '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'3" junior from Grand Haven Michigan and have been playing varsity golf since I was a freshman. I have always been a multi-sport athelete, playing football and basketball in high school, but in my junior year have decided that golf is the sport I truly love and so I will spend my junior and senior year focused on golf and academics. In addition to sports, I am active in other things outside of school, including drumming in three different christian bands and mentoring students in middle school as a youth group leader for my Church. I wanted to be around golf as much as possible and therefore my summer job for the past five years has been to caddie at a local club, serving as the caddie instructor for the past three years. I want to attend a strong academic school, studying either business or engineering (still deciding). As to geography, I would love to play golf year around, however, I am open (having gotten used to playing in the cold). My goal is to be able to contribute to my golf team, as well as to continue to grow in my sport. I see golf as part of my life in the future whether it be as a player, instructor, or through business or course design.
