Ridley Fast '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a student-athlete at Hillsdale Academy in Hillsdale, Michigan, and will be graduating in June 2024. I am interested in attending a small, private liberal arts school and will likely major in business. I am obsessed with the great game of golf and would love to continue at the next level. I have played my whole life but became serious about it at the end of 8th grade when Covid shut down school and sports and the golf course became my daily escape. I discovered a true passion for the game and it has been growing steadily ever since. I play golf in some form every single day and I have begun studying golf course architecture as a hobby. 

My greatest assets as a student-athlete are leadership and academic success. I maintain a 3.99 GPA on a 4.00 scale at a challenging classical liberal arts school. I also possess a strong competitive nature as a three-sport varsity athlete. As a captain on all three of my teams (golf, soccer, and basketball), I will bring leadership experience and a team-first approach to any program. I can be counted on to display a superb work ethic, always going the extra mile and putting in the time and effort, day in and day out.

As for my current golf game, I would describe it as a bad stock portfolio because my scores are dropping rapidly! The short game and course management are my strengths, and the flat stick is my best club. I have struggled with my swing in the past, but after working with an ex-tour professional the past few months and seeing major improvements with great potential for more, I feel I am on track to meet several personal and team goals. My varsity team is planning to win a state championship, and I am working toward a top-three individual finish. As a tour competitor, my goal is to win Callaway Tour events. Overall, I believe I will contribute to any college golf program as a dedicated student, a tireless worker, and a fierce competitor.
