Austin Carr '13 Recruiting Profile

As a junior at Holt High School, in Holt MI; I've had the privilege to have the ability to participate as a varsity starter at a D1-A high school, our states’ highest level of competition. The 2011-2012 academic year is my second year playing at the varsity level. Playing golf has been one of my passions since I was 10 years old. For the past seven years my near-daily routine includes spending several hours at the golf course and practice range. I also understand the importance of maintaining balance in my life. I am equally motivated to excel in the classroom.  I provide superior leadership qualities in both pursuits:

• Maintain 3.6 GPA
• All-Academic Conference team
• An All-Conference selection first year on varsity
• Won a 9-hole CAAC Blue league meet with a 35(-1)
• Tied for 3rd at CAAC LSJ Open with 73

The best is yet to come. My drive, determination, and work ethic provide a solid foundation for me to achieve my goal of playing golf at the colligate level and earning a full ride scholarship to receive a bachelor’s degree.
