Connor Shooks Cla...Through my experiences with golf in competition and volunteering to help the next generation of golfers, I have learned about myself that my hard work pays off and that I have great enthusiasm and that I have many values that the game of golf has brought into my life. Some important values that I learned I have through golf are honesty towards myself and others, integrity with holding myself accountable, respect towards others and respect for them and myself, and perseverance in the sense that I can achieve whatever I push myself to on the course and in life.
I am very involved in my community and dedicate the most time I can to give back to those who have helped me on my journey in life. I am a frequent helper at assisted living homes and love to listen and spend time with the elderly and learn valuable life lessons. I also help out with instructing young golfers at my local First Tee Chapter. I believe that these experiences have made me a well-rounded person.
One unique skill that I think is very fruitful in my life is my gift for public speaking. I have seen this skill to be very important in all aspects of my life. Public speaking skills have allowed me to have great communication with people and also have provided me many academic opportunities. With this skill, I am never afraid to step forward and help out or help share and convey ideas, which I believe makes me a great teammate and student
