Personal Statement

My name is Matthew Downing. I live in Oxford, Mississippi and go to Oxford High School. I play on the mens golf team for my high school and also play individual junior events as well. I am in my sophomore year of high school and have a 3.5 gpa. I have been playing golf since I was 6. I do not receive any pressure to play the game from my parents I just love it. I work hard and am very self-motivated. I also work hard in the classroom and get my work done on time. I love to hunt and fish and this teaches me patience and discipline. I really hope this gives you a better understanding of who I am and person I strive to be.
