Jacob Leblanc '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

My name is Jacob LeBlanc.  I am 17 years old.   I have been playing the game I love since I was 6 years old.  I have been playing competitively since I was 11.  I have been able to win many tournaments in my career along with shooting scores of 67 in the final round of the Provincial junior Championship and earning a spot on the provincial team at 16 years old.   I still have two years of junior golf eligibility.   I also shot 69 in the second round of the Provincial Amateur where I was able to finish in the top 10 at 16 years old.    My family owns and operates a 5 star private golf course in my hometown.   I have worked at the course for a while and have done many things to help out.   Cleaning clubs, picking the range, placing the range balls, tournament set ups, you name it.   I have a passion for the game that has been a big part of my family for decades.   My goal is to continue to strive to be the best golfer possible, while continuing to see other courses and bringing some new ideas to the family business.   My main goal is to be a professional golfer. I will be studying business while chasing my dream, to ensure I have a great education to fall back on.   I play hockey in the winter.  I am on my high school varsity team where I am an alternate captain, voted by my piers.   I also play varsity soccer at my high school.   Both these sports have taught me to be a great teammate and having discipline, while golf helps me to keep focus and work on being present.   Having played both team sports and individual sports, I am a very good rounded athlete to be a great asset to a college team environment.   I am have many friends here in my hometown and province, and I look forward in making new ones along my college journey.
