Personal Statement

I am a Golfer.  Golf is my passion.  I was hooked on the game at the age of 5 when I played my first 4 hole tournament.  Since then I have played every year in a  NJ Junior Tour starting with US Kids Golf, then The Lehigh Valley Junior Tour, The NJ Junior PGA Tour and lastly the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour.  In 2019 I played 40  rounds of tournament golf, and played 26 in 2018.  I addition, I work at a Country Club so I can stay close to the sport, practicing and getting coaching as often as I can.  I know there are many ways to keep learning and to keep adding new skills to keep my game sharp.  By working  physically and mentally all year long, my game improves constantly.

Besides my passion for golf, I have a tremendous love and respect for the great outdoors.  I enjoy bow hunting and fly fishing; both fresh and saltwater.  My experiences hunting, fishing and camping across the United States have given me tremendous knowledge, not only of wild life, but knowledge of American History.   I reconnect to and continue, still today, to learn from these experiences and knowledge I've gathered.  Bringing this knowledge up to "the table", often helps me on day to day tasks and schooling.

I believe due to my passion and commitment to the game of golf , and the life experiences I've trekked,  this ALL helps me academically.  I have been able to attain my academic goals and GPA, even after transferring from a small high School to a very large high school, in search of higher competition and academic excellence.  I faced a few challenges,  those of which I conquered and overcame.  I know that getting knocked down, whether it be mentally or physically, isn't important.  Either way, getting back up is what counts.

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
