Tyler Bowers '28 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coaches, My name is Tyler Bowers. I‘m in the class of 2028 at Shenendhowa Central Schools in Clifton Park, New York. I love playing golf. In the summer, there is nothing better than being on the course, hitting every shot, especially my 58 degree wedge.  Golf is life and I’m getting really good at it. Every shot and every round I try to improve.  Drives can always be longer, irons can always be more accurate. My plan is to play golf at the highest level in college.  At this time, I’m leaning towards a degree in finance. I work hard in school and because of that I am enrolled in 3 honors and 2 accelerated classes.  At the half way point through my freshman year, I am on the academic honor roll. 

I was introduced to golf at a young age by my dad and grandpa. I have also participated in other competitive sports such as ice hockey, ski racing, and baseball. Those sports have taught me how to play and work on a team. Something clicked when I was playing golf though and I didn’t get that with the other sports. So, golf has become my focus, my passion. At my high school, I played on the junior varsity team in 7th grade and on the varsity team in 8th and 9th grade.  I’m the youngest on the team by far, but it’s a lot of fun and we get to play a lot of golf. I only wish the season was longer. I can’t wait for tournament season to start up again in the spring and seeing how much I can improve my scoring average.  I look forward to the recruiting process, hearing from you, and learning about the opportunities at your schools.
