John Hall '22 Recruiting Profile

Since I was young I have been driven to succeed both academically and athletically.  Attending a prestigious higher education institution is a priority of mine and always has been.  In addition, I would love to have the opportunity to be a member of a collegiate level golf team and compete at a higher level.  I have loved the game of golf since I could swing a club.  Golf has always been a source of pride and accomplishment for me.  I made our school's Varsity Golf team as an 8th grader, qualified for the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHAA) Golf Tournament as a sophomore and recently was a member of our NYSPHAA Section 3 championship team.  My life entails more than just golf.  Academically, I have always pushed myself to be near the top of my class.  I take college credit bearing courses, advanced placement courses, and continue to excel in the classroom.  For the past 3 years I have had the rewarding experience to be a leader in our school's Unified Sports programs which give special needs students the opportunity to participate in sports alongside partner coaches like myself.   This has enabled me to help students who would not otherwise have the chance to play competitive sports to get the thrill and sense of accomplishment that I get from them.  Outside of the classroom I am very active in my community volunteering for numerous charitable organizations and maintaining employment.  All in all, I believe that I am a very well rounded student citizen and would love to have the opportunity to carry that on at your college.  I truly appreciate how lucky I am to even be in this position and I hope you consider me for a spot on your team.  Thank you.
