My ultimate goal is to play golf as a professional. I love playing on a team, and it is where I have had my greatest successes. I really enjoy helping my teammates which always seems to bring out the best in me mentally and allows me to swing and play freely. My 8th grade year and freshman year in high school were challenging academically. Because of the pandemic we were virtual for all of both years. Transferring to a school like Gaston Day (College Prep) for my sophomore year has challenged me in every way, but I have improved every semester and feel a great sense of pride and accomplishment for rising to that challenge. Over this winter I have committed to being the best player that I can be and have taken on some swing changes, which I hope will make me more consistent and bring out my best golf yet. If I'm being honest, there have times when I have let some rounds get away from me mentally, but I feel that with some solid work on my mental game, and the implementation of the swing changes, good results will follow. Academics are #1 and I will continue to grow and progress in that area. Winning the North Carolina 2A Independent State Championship last year as a team and being the individual medalist as a Sophomore will be a tough act to follow, but I'm ready! Bring it!
