2022 Spotlight Personal Statement
My goal is to contribute to a winning team and help get us to a championship! My ultimate goal is to play professional golf after college.
I practice more than anyone I know because I love this game and strive to get better. I enjoy being around people and have been told I am personable and easy to talk to. I care about my family, I understand the importance of academics, and I want to do great things in this life!
I am an honor roll student with a high GPA and strong leadership skills. I was elected as the captain of our golf team as a freshman. Simply put it, I am a hard worker, tenacious and passionate about improving my game and winning.

- T10 out of 85 players. Played 36 holes on day and 18 day 2. Shot 68/68/74. 3rd day my putter just did not get hot and had 14 pars and 4 bogies but overall was a successful tournament where my continued work is paying dividend. I am excited to see what the fall season holds as we play the winter nationals.

- T2/78 players, shot 75/71 total yards 6896. Great ball striking from tee to green. Had two three putts on day 1 that is unforced errors but settled in nicely on day 2 and shot a 1 under round. Good overall tournament and overall game management.

- T12/90 shot 77/69 - 6638 yards, had a two three putts on day 1. Day 2 I struck the ball well and made some putts. I feel with the recent adjustment to my swing, it is getting more comfortable under tournament standards and feel that my next big win is around the corner.

- 2nd place/160 Field. Shot a total of 10 under par (65, 73 & 68). Par 72 - 6,770 Yards. I played extremely well for all three days, on day 2 was not able to score as I would like but kept myself in the tournament. - 1st place, shot 67 - 5under. 70 players in the field. 6800 yards. I struck the ball really well and was able to dial in my irons to favorite yardages. The greens was receptive and I was rolling the ball effortless to the cup. Great accomplishments that I can show to my prospective coaches that I can go under par.

- T15/90 Players, 6983 Yards. Missed the cut by two strokes. Drove the ball amazing and gave myself chances to hit greens in regulation. Started out on the back 9, after 3 holes I was four over. I played the next 15 holes 3 under to shoot 73 - one over. My game is at a different level at the moment and feel that I can go very low in my upcoming tournaments, please stay tuned for my results.

- Shot 4 under 68 on day 1 Stroke Play, T4/128 players - 6900 Yards, Match play on day 2 - lost on the 19 hole . Tee to green was good but was able to really manage myself around the golf course and hit the ball in the right places to make the putts. Would have love to advance to the round of 32, I have definitely learnt from the few mistakes on how to improve my match play going forward.

- T2/90, Shot 71 plus 1, Yardage 6,720. Greens was rolling super fast around 11 Stimp. I struck the ball really well, kept it in play and was able to hit 12/18 greens.

- T7/54 players, shot 74, course yardage 6600, Temperature was around 98 degrees and very humid. A lot of players could not handle the heat and struggled down the stretch. I was very successful in making the cut to play in the 73rd Carolinas Junior Boys Championship June 29th - July 1st. My game is peaking in the right direction, working on reducing the number of putts per round as I am hitting it closer than ever.

- T10/86 Players, shot 1 under 71, 6800 Yards. Had a number of putts that lipped out, could have been a very special round but fortunately I made the cut and advanced to the 13th North Carolina Amateur Match Play Championship August 3rd thru 7th @ Country Club of Landfall.

- T15/60, shot 72 6800 yards. Had a triple bogey on my 3rd hold but then played the next 15 holes 3under to card a 72. Very proud how I bounce back, my driving was amazing, greens had variation of speeds. Course was in great shape.

- Shot 70/72 T10/90 players. Golf Course yardage were 6800. Couse was set up fair, I have hitting the ball pretty good with lots of birdie looks but the putts were not dropping today. I feel that my overall game have improved tremendously and anytime I tee it up, I am giving myself chances to win the tournament.

- A stacked field with the top 90 Junior boys in the Carolinas that competed in this flagship event hosted by TYGA. Course was set up fair but long and greens were very fast and consistent. My overall score was 75/70 3rd place, 7100 yards. I was the only player to shoot under par on Sunday with winds up to 55mph. I am playing some of my best golf right now and know that the win will come soon.

- All Boys' Divisions: Gold tees (6,896 yards), shot 76/69 Finished 8 overall with a field of 96. The first day I was not making putts as the greens was a bit bumpy and needed to get used to the surface. The 2nd day my putts were dropping and I was extremely accurate off the tee hitting 14 fairways and 13 greens.
