Hello, I would like to introduce myself as a candidate for your golf program. My name is Skylar Belgarde, and I'm a senior at Grand Forks Central High School located in Grand Forks, North Dakota. I am an aspiring student-athlete with dreams of playing golf after receiving a college education. I have a 2.1 USGA handicap, and a 76 stroke average at the Grand Forks Country Club. I have lettered in varsity golf since my freshmen year, and have competed in the Minnesota Junior Tour, and the Valspar Player's Tour. If golf doesn't work out in later life I'm also working to become a medical doctor, and taking all courses in high school that will help prepare me for the challenges I may face throughout my college academic experience. My collegiate academic goals is to maintain a 3.3 GPA or above. I plan put in my absolute best effort in the classroom as well on the golf course. I'm very familiar with the difficulties of being a student-athlete and the consequences it comes with. I'm willing to make about any sacrifice imaginable if it will positively affect mine or my teammates academic and athletic goals. With the GPA I have throughout my high school career I would say I'm very capable of being a collegiate student-athlete. I think I would fit well into your teams respected program, and hope to hear more from you.
Sincerely,
Skylar Belgarde
