Personal Statement

Making it to the Division 1 Ohio State Golf Championship as a freshman lit my fire and passion for golf. I immediately knew I wanted to go back for a second time and realized I needed to continue developing my skills to achieve this goal. My freshman year I averaged 86. I wanted my scoring average to drop into the 70’s my sophomore year and dedicated myself to making this goal a reality. My scoring average dropped to 77 and our team returned to state for a second consecutive year. I achieved these goals by dedicating myself to getting better daily; by working with a swing coach, working on my game and strengthening my course management.

I am very coachable and competitive by nature. I am currently a three sport athlete. I am looking for a school where I not only fit in athletically but also academically. I have the right mindset and dedication to make a positive impact on your program.
