Personal Statement
I am a hard worker in the classroom as well as on the golf course. I am extremely focused on golf and have played for several leagues in tournament events, including out of state. I got my first set of golf clubs when I was six years old and have attended camps and league play ever since.
I work hard in the off season to promote wellness and improve my game either through private coaching or playing golf. I also work at a golf club as a manager which keeps me active. I have won numerous events in golf. I have lettered on varsity golf since my freshman year. I helped take the team to Conference Champions the last three years. I have helped led the team and conference in statistics. I have been named First Team All Conference for four years in a row, named All District Honorable Mention 20, and competed in sectionals and districts multiple times. I was top ten in District competition. I took second place overall in a fall Kentucky Tour in 2020.
I have worked hard on my academic profile and have been recognized for several achievements including nomination and induction into the Academy of Scholars, honor roll, and induction to Phi Theta Kappa. I am also enrolled in College Plus courses and maintain over a 4.2 GPA.
I also enjoy participating in other extra curricular activities such as: Student Council-President 2 years including Senior Class President, Superintendent Advisory Council, E-Leader’s Club, and Band (Marching, Symphonic, and Concert). I was selected by the school superintendent to serve on The Portrait of a Graduate program. I am the President of DECA at my school and served as Vice-President last year. I am involved with Track and Field at my school. I have also competed in many karate competitions including international karate events and championships outside the of United States where I won three gold medals and inducted into the Global Martial Arts Hall of Fame- Junior.
I also enjoy volunteering at my school and in my community, often helping younger children improve their reading abilities. I currently serve as the Co-Chairman for the Fayette County Prevention Coalition and third year board member of the Ohio Youth Led Prevention Network through the Ohio Department of Health. I have attended numerous leadership academies including a selection to HOBY-Ohio Leadership. I actively serve on the Ohio Attorney General's Teen Ambassador Board. I attended Buckeye Boys State in 2023. I am a member of the Hope Squad, a suicide and peer support group for my High School.
