Personal Statement

My goal is to play at the highest level possible. As a multi sport athlete I understand the value of team even though golf is a very individual sport. I also realize that talent isn't always enough. Applying a great work ethic and also the values my parents have instilled in me as educators to not only my athletic career but in the classroom as well is important to me. I believe who I am as an athlete is a direct reflection of who I am as a student and as a person.

  • Placed 5th in my second appearance at state as a sophomore. Struggled with the putter the first day and put up a 79 and then rebounded with an even par 72 which put me in 5th place for the tournament! It was a great season for me this year but there is definitely room for improvement and I can’t wait to keep grinding and see how next year goes!

Then today I played well all day had some ups and downs but kept a level head and shot another round of even par 72. I still came up short of the win by one stroke and took runner-up. A good couple of days and am headed to regionals!
