Personal Statement
My name is Noah Crecelius, and I am a rising junior attending Landstown High school located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. My athletic ability lies within golf and I have been participating in the sport since age three. In the beginning I played for fun with my father and grandfather, but soon realized that this is what I wanted to do with me life. I started to take golf more seriously at the age of 11. I was apart of a golf team two out of the three years in junior high, and have recently taken the position of captain of my high school team sophomore year. Going into junior year, I aspire to be a good role model for both my team, my opponents, and the coaches of high school or college teams. Though golf is important to reaching my goals, education will always be the number one priority. The title "Student-Athlete" is more than what it seems to be. The student always comes first and always will. Colleges are built on education, not sports. To get into college, you must have some level of education. The sport is only a factor in the equation of success. To solve that equation, you must realize the meaning of the title, "student-Athlete".
