Colin Williams '17 Recruiting Profile

I am Colin Williams and I have played on the varsity golf team all 4 years at Katy High School. I have been team captain both my Junior and Senior years. I love to plan team dinners the night before our tournaments.  I also like to try and get teammates together to do other activities besides golf. It has really helped our team bond and have fun doing other activities together...like playing basketball, watching movies, and just hanging out. I feel I would be a good leader and at the same time be a good teammate under someone that is the team captain. I like to help my teammates if they are struggling both on the course or with their classes. I have been a student athlete since Kindergarten. I know how to balance both academics classes. I started playing serious golf in 8th grade. I played baseball from the time I was 5 years old until I was 13 years old. I played Little League and also select and elite level baseball year round. I started playing basketball in 1st grade through 8th grade. I also played football beginning in 3rd grade through 9th grade.  I have always been a student athlete and hope to continue this through college by playing golf. I became involved with CRU during my sophomore year. It is a Christian organization that meets weekly to study bible scriptures and  talk with peers about how to become a better Christian. I look at each day as a day to improve my game from the day before.  I love the challenge of different courses and trying to become the best golfer I can be.
