I am currently a junior at Burr Burton Academy in Manchester, Vermont, looking to play competitive college golf. I have been playing golf out of Dorset Field Club in Dorset, Vermont, since I was 10 years old. I am the current varsity Captain of the Burr and Burton Academy, division 1 golf team which I have been playing on since my freshman year. I feel I would be a good college teammate because I want the best for a team, I work well with others, and I have learned a lot about leadership in my role as Captain. What sets me apart from other recruits is that coming from a state with long harsh winters, I have to make sacrifices, such as giving up ice hockey, so I can head down to Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida where some of my family lives, to practice and play golf. This scenario has me working even harder during spring, summer, and fall so I am able to keep up with kids who get to play year round. I am extremely proud of my gains in the last year and excited to take this momentum into the future and college golf.
