Brett Johnson '12 Recruiting Profile

Starting age 6 I played premier soccer, basketball and baseball. Recently, I've focused  on golf. I continue to work very hard and so far have: + Low tournament round -7 65 Feb 2011 +2011 State HS champion + Current +2.8 hdcp comprised mostly of tournament rounds. + Bested many D1 and D2 players ( UofWash, UofPortland, UofOre, Cal, Condcordia..)at the 2010 Royal Oaks Invitational. + Invited to the Oregon Invitational Tournament of Champions. Won their long drive contest. + Winning and many top 3 finishes at FCWT,FCG,IJGA,OR and WA events. Players, coaches and club members have said I'm considerate, thoughtful, and a vary hard worker! Golf has taught me much about dedication, sportsmanship, pride, confidence, humor, self awareness, focus and yes, humility! I believe my improvement as a golfer is the result of my growth as an individual. If possible, I would like to attend a university that balanced classroom and golf. Ideally, a school with a great 'college town/campus' atmosphere located in/near the west coast or southwest. I would also be excited to attend a college farther away that afforded a unique college or golf opportunity. Of course, I'd like to play and make a contribution to your golf team right away; but, I also understand that helping the team's 'best interests' may require my patience and maturity.
