Personal Statement

My goals for college golf is to make the traveling team and to win tournaments. But the biggest thing would be having that bond with my fellow teammates. Something that makes me a good candidate for the team is how supportive I am for my teammates and my desire to win.  What makes me different is how I have an outgoing personality and how I can keep my cool on the golf course.  In terms of athletics, I have consistently demonstrated a high level of skill and competitiveness in this sport. I take instruction well and always strive to improve my technique and strategy. I am also a team player and believe that working together and supporting one another is key to success. Academically, I am a strong student and take my studies seriously. I understand the importance of maintaining a good GPA and have consistently excelled in the classroom. I am also a proactive learner and enjoy taking on new challenges.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • Junior America’s Cup
  • 8/01/23 to 8/03/23
  • Started off the tournament shooting a 73 2 over. Being tied 27 shot 70 1 under the next day being still tied for 27th. 1 over for 2 days coming to the last day shot a 67 4 under. Finishing the tournament 3 under and tied for 18th.
  • Camp/Event
  • WJGA Cup
  • 7/25/23 to 7/26/23
  • Started off this tournament shooting a 72 and tied 10th. Day two comes along and knowing I had to go low I shot my record for 9 holes 7 under. Finished the tournament 5 under. Went into a 2 hole playoff and won it making a 10 footer for birdie.
  • Camp/Event
  • WJGA Dahmen Invitational
  • 6/23/23 to 6/23/23
  • Needed a top 10 finish to get into the Junior Americas Cup. Shot a 68 my opening round. By the time when we had to play the second round the wind started to pick up and it became a harder golf course. I finished my second round with a 69. Overall score was 7 under which got the 5th place spot. Securing me a spot for the Junior Americas Cup.
  • Camp/Event
  • WIAA 4a Boys State Championship
  • 5/23/23 to 5/24/23
  • I started this tournament shooting a personal best 67 which put me in 2nd place in round 1. I knew I needed to beat the leader by 2 strokes to win the individual title and we were even for most of round 2. On the 18th hole I knew I had to at least make birdie to have a chance at winning. My competitor ended up making par and I was able to get up and down for birdie to win by 1 stroke.
  • Camp/Event
  • WJGA Players Open
  • 5/20/23 to 5/21/23
  • Shot a 69-66 for this tournament. Started off day 1 with a double but then fought back to get it -1 for round one. Second day I knew I had to have a low round to get into contention. Played really good shooting a 66 to finish off the tournament tied 2nd.
  • Camp/Event
  • Western Open
  • 4/15/23 to 4/16/23
  • After posting a 2 over 74 in round 1 I was T28. I knew I would have to get into red figures for round 2 in hopes of at least making the top 10. The weather was challenging, mid 40's, rain and windy. I maintained my focus and shot a 1 under 71 to finish T5. I'm proud of the fact that I was one of the five under par rounds for the day out of a field of 140.
  • Camp/Event
  • 2023 State Match Play
  • 3/24/23 to 3/26/23
  • My goal for this tournament was to make it into the top 16 to get into the championship flight which I did with a +3. T4 finish in the strok play round. In my first match play round I found myself 3 down with 3 to go so I had to play flawless golf to have a chance of advancing. I ended up making eagle, par, par to extend my match. I ended up losing the first playoff hole but this shows I never give up even when the situation isn't favorable.
  • Camp/Event
  • AJGA - Adidas Jr. All-Star
  • 8/29/22 to 9/01/22
  • This was one of the hardest courses I've ever played in a tournament. I struggled on the first day shooting an 85 and was practically last place. However I didn't give up on myself and shot 71 on day two and a 75 on day 3. I finished in 18th place out of 51. This tournament shows my dedication to keep on going.
  • Camp/Event
  • WJGA State Championship 2022
  • 8/05/22 to 8/07/22
  • I won the 14-15 year boys division shooting 73,71,74. Playing Semiahmoo the first and last day and Loomis the second.
  • Camp/Event
  • Notah Begay JGNC Washington Regional
  • 7/23/22 to 7/23/22
  • Shot a 75-74 and finished 11-77 for boys 14-18 and t4 for boys 14-15.
  • Camp/Event
  • WJGA District 6 Championship
  • 7/18/22 to 7/19/22
