I am coming up on my senior year of golf. I have been playing since I was a kid, but have only been taking it seriously for about the last 5 years. I strive to become the best golfer I can be. Almost every chance I get, I go to the range and hit for a couple hours or play some holes with my teammates or my PGA certified dad. He has helped me become a very good golfer. The only thing I need to work on is my mental game. My scoring average doesn't show how good of a golfer I am. This spring will be my last year of high school golf. My goal is to be shooting around par, and I think it is very reachable. In the off season, I put in a lot of work. I was disappointed that I didn't get to play in any tournaments of the Wisconsin Junior PGA. But, I still got out to the course and hit balls. My ball striking and chipping has improved greatly since last season, so I hope I will put up good scores this coming up season!
My Freshman year, my school didn't even offer golf, but three of my friends and I talked to the school board to try and make a varsity sport. They agreed and made golf a club sport for one year and then a varsity sport after that. I have lowered my average since then about 20-25 strokes. I have so much potential but I just need someone to notice me!
