Personal Statement
On the ice, I am focused on keeping the puck far away from my net. I believe in me and my teammates that we will score goals, therefore playing solid defense is the critical factor. When I was 14 I had become burned out from the game and wanted to quit. My decision had been made that it would be my last season, but all that time to think reminded me that I loved hockey. I have been playing more passionately than ever before since then. Academically, I am striving for a 4.0 every semester in the future. I struggled during the beginning of my high school career, but my desire to play college hockey has motivated me to get my grades up, and I obtained a 3.7 in the Fall 2017 semester.
