Steven Bacovsky '22 Recruiting Profile

I’m a 2001 born goalie from Calgary Alberta. I have played my last three year in the Canadian Junior Hockey League.(CJHL). I split my time between both the Saskatchewan Junior A Hockey League(SJHL) and the Manitoba Junior A Hockey League(MJHL). Unfortunately due to covid I was unable to play during my 19 year old year but I’ve still been able to accumulate 70 Junior A games played.
I would describe my play as an athletic goalie who plays contained and patient. I pride myself on battling for every puck no matter what situation. Some keys to my game include the ability to read the play, my ability to stay contained and patient but using my flexibility and athletic ability to make unorthodox saves. I also pride myself in my ability to play the puck in all different situations.
My goals for the future are to continue playing hockey at the best level possible and becoming a contributing player both on and off the ice wherever I play. I always believe that being a good teammate is key to development and overall team success, because a tight knit team is immensely important. With saying that, I also want to obtain a good education to help myself be successful outside of hockey as well.
