Personal Statement

My goal is to study and play hockey at the highest level possible. My passion for hockey was evident by age 5, I had great determination to skate and scoring goals was everything. I go to the rink today with the same determination and desire to succeed. If I am not playing hockey I am working on my studies. I have many interests but enjoy studying physics and bio chemistry. I would like to complete a doctorate degree in one of those fields and possibly go into medical research. I have an incredible work ethic and want to continue to push myself at every level, this is a reflection of my success in both hockey and my academics. I value hard work, honesty, consistency and leading by example. My recruitment would add a positive influence too any team and educational institution because of my character and my ability too make others around me better.

  • During the off season I do Hypertrophy training with the intention of gaining size through low rep high weight, using free weights. Getting closer to the season I train AQR with the use of a bosu ball or hurdles to increase endurance and short sprint speed. During the season I train full body with a TRX and a VIPR to ensure proper movements are met. This is all through the help of Wayne Highman my trainer.
