My name is Dilon Karim (2019). To many people, they may think I'm just another kid dreaming about playing college sports. But honestly, from feedback that i have received from coaches in the past seasons, I have been recognized as a coach-able player, hard worker, an incredibly fast learner, very respectful, and a good leader and teammate to struggling, tired, or stressed out peers of mine. I am currently on a healthy diet and have been for the past 10 months that mainly consists of high but appropriate amounts of proteins, carbohydrates, good fats, and an abundance of fruits and vegetables. I would say that I am about average height for my age but with most of the male members in my family being over 6 foot, I'm looking forward to a growth period soon. My father and my mother have always had expectations of me since Kindergarten days, whether it be with academics, behavior, athletics, respect, etc, and I have shown all of which they demand with a 3.0+ GPA throughout high school. My high school is not an ordinary school either. I attend Arizona College Preparatory in Chandler, Arizona which is an accelerated learning school with uniform enforced and am taking Honors Algebra II, Honors Chemistry, Honors English 10, and AP Human Geography this year as a sophomore in high school which are typically 11th and 12th grade courses at the high schools around my area such as Hamilton High school, Basha High, Gilbert High, etc. Unfortunately though no matter how far I manage to surpass my parents' high expectations, my mom is and has been unemployed for sometime right now and with my father working hard as an electrical engineer at Amkor technology in Arizona, and only will have enough money to fund themselves through retirement, pay off house payments, car payments, and other things, we have sat down and had the conversation that it is up to me to earn a scholarship because they are unable to fund my college payments let alone my future car payments. Having all of this said, going through an accelerated high school for 4 years, practicing and playing at the ice rink 20+ hours a week, and maintaining at minimum a 3.0 GPA and above, on top of house chores and cooking dinner, is a lot for one kid to juggle through his/her schedule. But i manage to do this by organization and knowing my priorities taught upon me by my inspirational parents. I really hope you are interested in my story and my athletic capability take in consideration of contacting my parents or I about your findings in my profile. I truly appreciate you for taking the time out of your day to even read this message and we continuously thank you from this moment on.
