Hello my name is Nate Hale,
I have been playing hockey for a little over 11 years, 9 of which I have been playing goalie. Over these years I have experienced great things and have gone to great camps throughout my journey. Over the 2023 summer I’ve gone to Heartland, Rocky Mountain Hockey School, and Goalies inc.
I enjoyed Heartland because it gave me the opportunity to live a week doing what I love away from home. It was a good camp and helped me work on some smaller aspects of the game. Rocky Mountain Hockey School or RMHS i have been going to for almost 10 years. Brian smith and that whole team has helped me achieve goals that i’ve strived to accomplish for a while. I have been attending Goalies inc for 5 years and they help me keep up with fundamentals.
During the 22-23 season I was a part of the Flagstaff Northstars A team and placed second in the state. I had a .952 sv% during the state tournament and during the regular season .906 sv%.
I am an easily trainable goalie that loves to learn new aspects of the game. Expanding my knowledge of the game helps me on and off the ice. Many of my past coaches have complimented me on my sense of humor where I bring a smile to players’ to make sure they are having a good time on the ice. I am a team player and always looking to help people. In many coaches’ eyes I have what it takes, knowledge and skill, to play at a higher level team.
Academically I am a straight A student and plan to keep it this way for the remainder of my scholastic journey. In June 2023 I attended ASU Barrett Scholar Program where you had to be accepted into. I hope to keep exceeding in school as I am and expand my opportunities not just through hockey but academically as well.
For the 2023-2024 season I am on the JV Flagstaff Avalanche team.
