Personal Statement
From the first time I laced up my skates at age 5, up until my current level, playing in the NAIA Division 1 for LTUI love this game. Each time on the ice is special and an opportunity to learn the game and work on new game challenges. I am a hardworking forward, with a focus on being a two way player. My primary position is RW and center. If needed I’ll go back and play Defense. I do not play the game with "I" in mind. I work hard to keep unity, focus, and motivation with my teammates. I mold my game after Patrice Bergeron who I have grown up watching. My play is anticipate , look for new opportunities and make the best decisions I can with the puck. Of course I love to score, but setting up another teammate or being able to break up an offensive play and in general. Just having fun playing hockey is an amazing feeling. I take what my coaches instruct and critique in my play and work to perfect it each an every practice and off ice as well. It's hard to talk about yourself and not sound egotistical, I think I am a hardworking never satisfied player and a true TEAM player. I feel there is always room to improve and be better. A lot of playing the game of hockey and being successful for your team is more than what shows up on the score sheet. It is doing the little things, that lead to results. There is no room for being content with your play. I want to be the best I can in all aspects of the game, not just shooting, passing, etc. but understanding the game, where to be and be able to turn offense into defense and vice versa. I work hard on physical fitness and academic studies. I believe education is a vital point in all aspects of sports and life. As is physical fitness is a core piece to athletics and continuing to play at a high level.
I look forward to the opportunity to give what I have to offer to an organizarion and to add or build to the success of that team.
