I have loved being on the ice as long as I can remember. Growing up playing hockey has taught me about dedication, leadership, as well as disappointment A few examples of this includes: my four years playing on the top team for my age at RINK Hockey Academy ( Formally POE), the dedication to training includes on ice two hours a day, work outs and skill training to compete in the top tier. I also AP for the Junior A Team the West Kelowna Warriors. From playing hockey, I have learned more about teamwork. I care about my teammates as much as my own family, and want us to succeed as one. As a student-athlete, I have learned about work-ethic and commitment. Learning more about these two character traits have helped me in both aspects of life.
These 4 years of playing at the highest level for my age range inspires me a lot academically and athletically, and I know I can do more with my talent. I am looking for a program that fit my academic needs, but also correspond to athletics. I am different from other recruits, because I am a leader, I love hockey, I strive to be the best, and I am prepared to apply my talent in school, and on the ice. These are what make me a pleasure to work with, and great asset for your team!
