My name is Tristen Bear, I am considered an easy-going person and get along well with everyone I meet. I am 6’0”, 175 lbs. and my teammates consider me one of the leaders on our team the past three years and I take that seriously and do my best to lead by example. For my final Junior year I would be playing for the Kenora Islanders in the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL) during the 2023/2024 hockey season.
I have been playing hockey since I was seven years old and have learned that for me to be successful in hockey, I need to continue working on my hockey skills and overall game. Since the age of nine years old, I have spent most of my off-hockey seasons and summer months enrolled in training camps and Junior developmental programs as I want to become a better player. I am currently working with a personal trainer who is helping me to increase my strength, speed, endurance, and work on parts of my game and the skills that I need to improve on.
What makes me different from others is that I am passionate about potentially playing University hockey and always gaining personal development to reach my goals, and I can be fully funded for University. I am dedicated and always trying to find ways to improve my skills either by working out at home and attending elite development Junior A Hockey Camps. As for education, I want to go to university in the US and achieve my goal of playing NCAA hockey and get an excellent education for life after hockey.
